På bussen från Hässleholm till Broby efter kusin Kajsas födelsedagsfirande i Lund. Maria är fem-sex år, sitt längst fram och snackar med den pratsamme chauffören. Snart vet han att hon heter Maria, och hon berättar också att det hette Jesus mamma. Och så läser hon för honom:
